The EPS-95 National Agitation Committee has urged the Finance Minister to raise the minimum pension from ₹1,000 to ₹7,500 to provide financial relief to pensioners.

Higher Pension Amount: With the new wage ceiling, pensions will be calculated based on ₹21,000, leading to a ₹2,550 increase in the maximum pension.
Employer Contribution Increase: As wages rise, the employer’s 8.33% contribution to the EPF will also increase, strengthening the pension fund.
Support for Pensioners: The demand for a higher minimum pension aims to ensure better financial stability for retirees.

EPFO provides different types of pensions, including:
- Normal Pension (Retirement at 58 years)
- Early Pension (Reduced pension if taken before 50 years)
- Disability Pension (For permanently disabled employees)
- Widow/Widower Pension (For the spouse of a deceased member)
- Children’s Pension (Up to 25 years of age)
- Orphan Pension (For children of deceased parents)

From when?
Life liability of senior citizens after 60 years is the mercy of God.
Sooner this is announced happier will be the Pensioners
So my urge is to the government to implement this on top priority.
Otherwise it shall remain a distant dream for many Pensioners.
So request connected authorities to make the announcement at the earliest.

How has retired in 2022 basice salary was 21500 but getting a pension from basice rate of 15000 . Will they also get a hick in pension or not it’s not cleared in hick notice. Please clear it pensioner how has retired in 2022.

वेतन वृद्धि 21000 कब से लागू होगा महोदय। प्राइवेट कंपनियां 15050 रूपए बेसिक सैलरी लगा देती है जिससे कि PF काटना ना पड़े। इस पर भी विचार कीजिए।
Why can’t Govt of the day announce when will they give enhanced pension to EPF95 family pension. If they have changed their decision after winning Delhi they must openly say so.
Retirees who retired in 1995 drawing pension 1000 may be very few alive today. Government may takeup their case before their last breath.
There has been lot of rumours about increased in Minimum pension. Trade Unions demand rs 5000.00 and National Agitating Committee demands rs 7500.00 Minimum. In any case, Government has no plans to increase the Minimum Pension. EPS pensioners are harbouring high Expectation. As I understand, Govt has No agenda to increase the minimum EPS pension of rs 1000.00.

Better to take final decision immediately as it is a long pending case. During last 10 years only hearing story / drama
All the news about pension increase are for future beneficiaries and not older pensioners. So need not rejoice.
